Focus. Common sense.
One of the most impressive aspects of offering the Focus brand is witnessing their owner’s loyalty. Repeatedly, we see clients choose Focus and shortly after their first ride, begin to sing their praises loud to anyone who will listen!
Founded in 1991 by 3-time Cyclocross World Champion Mike Kluge, Focus Bikes offers a range of complete bicycles, including road, cyclocross, mountain, and commuter bikes.
Velosmith was drawn to Focus by the company’s common sense-approach to bicycle design.
Focus delivers forward-thinking precision, packaged with engineering directives that call for elements such as tube manipulation; specific variations of tube diameters; a smaller, traditional 27.2 seat post diameter; and size-specific tubing that follows solid, basic, frame design practices.
Focus can be seen in the professional cycling ranks, including sponsorships of the 2005 Women’s Professional Cyclocross World Champion, Hanka Kupfernagel, the 2009-10 Milram Professional Road Team, the 2011 Katusha Professional Road Team and the Rapha/Focus cyclocross team.
In 2011, Rapha/Focus rider Jeremy Powers rode the Mares CX 1.0 to the U.S. National CX Championship.
